Dark Water

Being a fan of "The Ring" I was looking forward to finally seeing "Dark Water."

Overall this movie wasn't bad, just not that special either. I understand how some slow moving situations can add to the tension and general eerie feel to a movie, but the lack of ripples, kept this dark water rather still.

Jennifer Connelly, as always, delivered a solid performance.

I'm glad I saw this movie, but I doubt I'll watch it again.

Judge for yourself. Order it here from Amazon.com or join Netflix and rent it.

This movie is not so special or particularly bad but its averageness has pulled it down to the bottom of bad-horror-movies pile. First of all those who went to see this movie expected to be scared out of their wits. What did they get? They saw a drama plot of a divorce. This movie has too many unecessary distractions. Why was there a need to include multiple plots surounding custody battle, and not to mention the lawyer??? I just could not relate their importance to the main story line. Secondly did they just not see the need to give the ghost even a hint of scary make up or did they just not have the budget? Sure, the audience will be horrified by the sight of a little sweet fair girl. This is by far the worst Asian horror movie remake.
