I'll start off by saying that I loved this movie on DVD - the unrated Director's cut. I'm tired of hearing from so-called hard-core Romero fans that this movie was just okay. Bullshit. This movie was fantastic. It was stylish, fun, intense and gory.

This film had some of the best acting ever in a Romero film. John Leguizamo and Dennis Hopper delivered top notch performances.

Romero's film making style was fortunatley apparent. You knew right away you were watching a film by the master of horror. While I consider "Dawn of the Dead" the greatest horror film ever made, "Land of the Dead" was a wonderful addition to the legacy. I'll piss off some fans by saying that I thought Land was even better than "Day of the Dead" and that's saying a lot.
